Title: People and Culture Business Partner

Location: Centreville, VA

Terms: Full-Time/Permanent

Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. By virtue of that, U.S. citizenship is required.

As the a member of the People and Culture team you will be supporting the organization as part of the Shared Services department. This will include a number of Human Resource and recruitment functions.

Your responsibilities will include but won’t be limited to:

  • Partner with hiring managers to provide a seamless interview, hiring and onboarding process.
  • Support company managers as needed with implementing policies, performance management and training initiatives
  • Supplement the team’s recruiting efforts as needed from sourcing, interviewing, selection, offer and onboarding
  • Drive activities that promote our company’s culture and develop a branding strategy to increase our corporate exposure through various outlets
  • Evaluate and update current company policies and take initiative to assist in the development of new ones
  • Organize and participate in company activities, social engagements, networking events, job fairs etc.
  • Participate in the development of Use traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates such as job boards, social media, professional networking, outreach, and diversity recruiting efforts
  • Conducts preliminary interviews to identify applicants who meet the requisite skills and qualifications for moving forward in the selection process
  • Respond to Human Resource (HR) issues and inquiries on matters such as employment law and compliance, providing conflict resolution services and communicating HR programs and policies

You should be ambitious and a self-starter who is able to take initiative without waiting for direction. You are a “do-er” who is always customer focused.

Preferred Background:

  • 4 year degree from accredited university or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience giving guidance to leaders and employees regarding Company policies, values, HR programs (benefits, pay and salary) administration
  • Strong background in HR compliance as it pertains to OFCCP
  • 2-5 years of industry experience with Recruiting and Human Resources preferably within IT
  • The demonstrated ability to negotiate and articulate the company’s offerings and benefits
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems and managing their workflows
